I placed an order through Toast Takeout and everything seemed fine at first. I had already been waiting for it when I suddenly got a cancellation notice with no real explanation, which was frustrating.
Trying to get help wasn’t much better. Maybe it’s just me, but it felt like I had to dig around way too much just to get basic info, and I still didn’t get a clear answer on when the refund would show up. Not the best first experience

I was happy with how simple it was to tweak my order. There were plenty of options to make changes, which made the whole process feel smooth. There were still a few limits, but overall I was satisfied with the experience

"Logging in is way more frustrating than it should be"
I expected ordering takeout to be quick and easy, but my account login keeps failing or randomly kicking me out. I end up having to reset things just to place an order, which gets old fast. I’ve contacted support, but it still hasn’t been fixed. Annoying when all I’m trying to do is grab food.

"Easy pickup, fair enough prices"
I use Toast Takeout often. Menu prices usually feel fair, not always the cheapest, but decent vs other apps. Fees can be kinda random at checkout, which is annoying. Still use it though. Pickup’s easy and I don’t feel totally ripped off
"Pretty Frustrating Takeout Experience"
I tried to place a simple takeout order, the whole thing felt clunky. Some of the menu items loaded really slowly, and I had to keep going back to fix a few options, which got super annoying. Checkout did work in the end, but it definitely wasn’t very smooth. Not the worst experience ever, just kind of frustrating.

The app works sometimes, but like I said, it’s just not very smooth. The menus take forever to load, and mine froze at checkout so I had to go back and add my items again. Like I said, it’s fine when it actually works, but ordering food shouldn’t be this annoying. The layout could definitely be cleaner too.
"Order Tracking Felt Misleading"
I used toasttakeout and the food itself was fine, but the order updates were frustrating. The status sat there unchanged for ages, so I assumed nothing was happening, then out of nowhere it switched to ready. When I checked with the restaurant, they said they were still making it. It made me feel a bit misled because I had no idea whether I should leave, wait, or keep checking. It’s not the worst app, but the tracking definitely needs to be more accurate.

"Rewards still dont sync right"
Ordering through the app is easy, no real issues there. But the rewards side has been kinda frustrating. I placed a couple orders and my points just never showed up, and it wasnt super clear if I was even logged in the right way. Support tried to help but I got passed around a bit. I still use it here and there, but the loyalty rewards part def needs some work.

"Support got it fixed, but it was a hassle"
My order wasn’t showing up right, so I reached out to support. It took quite a while to hear back, and when they finally replied, it kind of felt like they hadn’t really read what I wrote. They did fix the issue in the end, so it wasn’t a total disaster, but I had to follow up twice and it was way more hassle than it needed to be. i’m not super happy with the support experience.

I used toasttakeout.com to schedule a pickup ahead of time, but it didn’t really help. I got there when it said the order would be ready, and it still wasn’t done, so I ended up just standing around waiting anyway. It also kind of felt like nobody really noticed or cared that it was supposed to be a scheduled order. The food was fine once I got it, but I wouldn’t rely on it if I were in a rush.

"Refund process was frustrating"
I finally got my refund sorted out, but it took way longer than I expected. The support replies also felt a bit confusing to me, like I wasn’t totally sure what was happening or when it would be resolved. In the end, it worked out, but the whole experience left me disappointed.

"Payment Was a Mess"
I tried to pay twice and it just kept loading with no clear error or explanation. It finally went through, but then I was left wondering if I’d been charged twice, which is really frustrating. getting a canned apology doesn’t help much when you’re stuck worrying about your money.

"Pickup timing was off"
I used Toast Takeout for pickup and, to be fair, the food was fine once I finally got it. But the app kept saying my order was ready when the restaurant clearly didn’t have it packed yet. I’m not trying to make a huge deal out of it, but I ended up waiting around 25 minutes with basically no real update from the app. Just made the whole pickup feel more frustrating than it needed to be

I tried to place an order, but the allergen and dietary info was really confusing. Hard to find too. I have food allergies, so that made me nervous. Just didn’t feel worth the risk for me.

"Slow Website Made Dinner Way More Stressful Than It Needed to Be"
I tried to order dinner through the site it was such a pain. Everything was moving so slowly — like the menu took forever to load, the cart kept hanging, buttons didn’t respond right away, and I had to refresh a few times just to see if my items were even still there. Checkout was even worse. After I put in my info, the page froze, and then I was stuck wondering if the order went through, if I was about to get charged twice, if my food was actually coming, or if I needed to start all over again. Not exactly ideal when you’re already hungry and just trying to get something simple like dinner. Maybe the site works fine at other times, but for me it was slow, glitchy, confusing, and frustrating enough that I gave up and ordered from somewhere else

"Not exactly a great experience"
I ordered dinner and, to be fair, it did eventually show up, so I guess that’s something. But it was almost an hour late, the food was cold by the time it arrived, and the driver updates were all over the place. I tried reaching out for help, but it felt like nobody was that bothered. Maybe it works better for other people, but I don’t think I’ll be using it again

I ordered something from the menu, but what I received was a different item. It was disappointing, especially when you’re expecting a specific meal. Just a heads up to others in the community: make sure to check your order before leaving or as soon as it’s delivered so you can get it fixed right away.
